Rachmaninoff was an admirer of Tchaikovsky and faithfully believed in melody. A special richness and purity is remarkable in his works. His music is exciting, intimate and full of emotions. He passed away in 1943.

Camille Saint-Saens was born in Paris in 1835. He was a skilled organist and pianist. Liszt, Berlioz and Bulow admired his works. Among his pupils were Faure, Magne, and Gigout. Saint-Seans was among the founders of the national music society which held the duty of supporting the new music of France and the world. He has left behind many eternal works. "Arab dance", which is composed for a string trio is one of these works. Saint-Seans died in Algeria in 1921 at the age of 87.
